Leaving A light OnPosted by Craig@Random Ramblings (Herts, United Kingdom) on 23 February 2010 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. I finally took the plunge of moving the blog and this is my last post here on AM3. Honestly I feel a little sad about it but I feel the time is right to move on. I won't be pulling this version but I guess it will be deleted after a certain period of non activity. I won't be dual posting as I have been between here and Blogger, the main reasons for moving were to have a blog that I could make more my own and to simplify the process. So all that leaves me to say is a HUGE thank you to all those that have followed me, left comments and encouraged me to improve/continue especially at the times I really didn't feel like doing so, you have no idea how much that all means. I sincerely hope that you follow me over and continue to look. You can find my new home right here! So for that last time, let me know your thoughts as always. CM2010 I have now moved this blog to a new location, you can see it here "Rules of the game: If you would like me to comment on your images using the above rules please tell me and we can help each other to improve our photography.

Florence from Paris, FranceA nice candle light indeed and a great way to say... no, not goodbye for you're just moving. 23 Feb 2010 11:10am @Florence: Thank you Florence, no not goodbye just a new home, I'm getting things in place just as I like them :) Curly from South Shields, United KingdomAt least you have left the lights on, a sure sign that you haven't totally gone Craig. 23 Feb 2010 12:45pm @Curly: Thanks Curly, no not gone just moved, something I felt I needed to do :) Nigel from Avening, United KingdomTTFN Craig - just keep enjoying your photography ! Thanks for the memory. 23 Feb 2010 7:09pm Vinman from Essex, United KingdomI've commented on the new location but, for ol' times sake... 24 Feb 2010 11:29pm @Vinman: Cheers, that was exactly the thought behind it, I have to say though I think just a fraction more DOF would have been better. Another lesson learned! I concur with your thoughts about the comments, the days of running around commenting just to get one back are long behind me, now I just comment on stuff I like and if that's returned then great, if not well hey ho! I also agree that the one constructive comment, while nice comments are-well nice, are the ones I learn from. They stick in your mind and come back to you when shooting, well they do for me anyway :) Oh and I too thought about the wordpress route, or movable type but in the end pixyblog seemed to offer the best of both worlds; IE I can keep tweaking the template to my hearts delight but I can still keep on blogging whilst I do it because the basic format is already there. I know there are various templates around but there's also the hosting lark and then a domain name etc, perhaps I'll go the whole hog one day ;) Linerberry from Christchurch, New ZealandGonna really miss you on am3 mate...but we have to do what we have to do! I will follow you to your new destination and watch you grow even more!! Good Luck!!! 2 Mar 2010 7:47am @Linerberry: Thanks :) I was sad to move on but I'm pleased with the new location also. Thanks for following me over :) SOUL AFLAME from The bosom of Mother Nature, United KingdomAn exquisite way to say goodbye (though only in one way). I shall still be keeping a close eye on you, so you'd better behave! ha ha 4 Mar 2010 11:42am @SOUL AFLAME: Thanks Paul, I shall behave!! ;) Of course I neglected to notice that I left the link to my blog unchanged, it should have been here! P J W Miller from Chase Terrace, United KingdomThis is great love the depth of field, simple yet conveys so much 24 Apr 2010 9:14am |
